Our group rate is $249 + tax single/double (taxes are currently 10.64% + a 2% San Diego Tourism assessment).
New Delegates will learn how to effectively represent the interests of their chapters throughout 2009. In addition to learning expectations of their role, delegates will learn about current CREW Network initiatives, branding messages, leadership opportunities and how to communicate all of this back to their respective chapters. This is an important learning session that every new delegate should plan to attend.
Returning delegates and chapter leaders should plan to arrive in time on Thursday, January 29 to attend the Welcome Reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.
This is an important opportunity for delegates and chapter leaders to connect with their counterparts across North America and expand business and chapter networks. This is a unique chance for representatives to learn what other chapters are doing to provide value to their members and to establish their presence in their local commercial real estate community. Business cards are a “must” at this event.
Each chapter has an assigned board member serving as its liaison to CREW Network. Join your board liaison and representatives from other chapters in your group for a networking dinner with an emphasis on sharing your chapter best practices, challenges or current trends. Each diner will be responsible for covering the cost of his/her own meal and transportation. (Cash is recommended.)
Enjoy a continental breakfast beginning at 7:30 am and then review the assigned seating chart to find your place in the meeting. It is important to be seated promptly by 8:00 am as there will be much to cover in a short period of time. While meeting minutes will be provided after the meeting, many find it helpful to take their own notes as well. The council meeting will include a business networking session. This very effective session will provide a concentrated period of time to network with other CREW Network members, as well as step by step instructions on how to implement this type of session in your chapter.
George Chamberlin, Executive Editor for the Daily Transcript,San Diego's only daily business newspaper will headline the Friday luncheon presentation. Chamberlin, who is also the business editor for KOGO Radio and host of “Money in the Morning,” a personal finance and consumer program each Sunday morning, will present the economic outlook for the San Diego area. He is the Money Advisor for NBC 7/39, providing financial reports each weekday morning, and a columnist for the North County Times. Chamberlin will provide a snapshot of the San Diego market and information about the area’s existing business opportunities.
ONE REPRESENTATIVE PER CHAPTER
Our highly rated roundtable sessions will focus on public relations and marketing, two areas that are crucial to the success and reputation building of our chapters and members. Topics will include practical strategies for marketing to your members, using CREW Network tools and concepts as part of your marketing plan, forming effective public relations and marketing committees, writing superior press releases, meeting notices and more.
As chapter leaders, what kind of Network are you creating? Leading in tough times presents exceptional opportunities to develop your leadership skills and leave a lasting mark on your chapter. Remaining proactive and demonstrating the value of your chapter to your members is the cornerstone of success. Key issues such as how to effectively use your Network and utilize the behaviors successful leaders demonstrate to encourage and reward members and sponsors are very important this year. How do you manage uncertainty? How do you develop and select new CREW leaders? How do you provide value to your members and sponsors?
A panel of CREW Network leaders will share their insights on these topics and provide practical take-aways that you can begin to implement immediatelyand in order to build a successful team within your chapter.
Participants will learn about:
- Business Networking: Networking to show the business value for your chapter and members.
- Selecting good leaders: Identifying the right skills to build a strong leadership team
- Membership: Strategies for continued growth to support your chapter’s good health!
- Sponsorship: Tips for encouraging local companies to see the value of your chapter and special events that build networking opportunities while adding to your bottom line, including golf tournaments.
In today’s business climate, you need strong leadership skills to navigate through the white water of challenges ahead. Come join us to gain a new perspective that will offer tools to overcome any obstacles and provide that competitive edge to help you achieve your desired results.
This “wrap up” Networking Reception provides the perfect opportunity to circle back with contacts you’ve made over the past couple of days, finalize networking conversations or make plans to keep the dialogue going once you’re back in the office.
Make sure to stop by the CREW San Diego Hospitality desk to sign up and take advantage of the opportunity to network with other CREW Network members to share ideas, interests, and business opportunities. Each diner will be responsible for covering the cost of his/her own meal and transportation. (Cash is recommended.)
